Thesis Statements

Thesis 1: Public Cigarette smoking should become an illegal drug in the United States. It is an issue that has many different views. Even though many individuals smoke cigarettes to relief them from stress, for satisfaction, peer pressure and because it’s a necessity for them, we can all agree that it’s the leading cause of many kinds of cancers as well as the cause of other deaths. It’s a matter of ending public cigarette smoking and showing our future generations that it is just a sickness that overtime its death rate will increase if it’s no taking into account more severely. It’s amazing how Cigarettes kill more Americans than alcohol, car accidents, suicide, AIDS, homicide, and illegal drugs combined.

Thesis 2: Soccer in the United States has to come out of their cage now because is more than just a physical sport. In America, soccer is solely a physical sport, whereas in other countries such as in Europe and South America is about tactics, technique, strategies and physical. They devote themselves to soccer as if it was more than just a game, a job, a responsibility, a subject, a way of life. It’s a lifestyle where you have to practice up to three times a day for 6 days a week. It’s not only physical, but it’s also mental.


Thesis 3: Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. The Coaches and players think they can come up with new creative things such as; formations, plays, and tactics never seen before. However, what they don’t see is that all of that and much more has already happened in the past; this is known as trying to reinvent the wheel. Reinventing the wheel is like plagiarizing a paper, where a topic has been presented and someone else tries to make it their own, that is what many soccer coaches try to do so they can be known and be original, which they really not.
