Final thesis statement

Final Thesis Statement: Public Cigarette smoking should become an illegal drug in the United States. It is an issue that has many different views. Even though many individuals smoke cigarettes to relief them from stress, for satisfaction, peer pressure and because it’s a necessity for them, we can all agree that it’s the leading cause of many kinds of cancers as well as the cause of other deaths. It’s a matter of ending public cigarette smoking and showing our future generations that it is just a sickness that overtime its death rate will increase if it’s no taking into account more severely. It’s amazing how Cigarettes kill more Americans than alcohol, car accidents, suicide, AIDS, homicide, and illegal drugs combined.

I agree with the limiting public smoking to places where non smoker are unaffected. Smoking has turn into a big concern and is getting larger day by day. Smoking has become an answer to relaxation, relief and other stressfulness things, yet people still are smoking knowing the fact that if leads many health problems like cancer. Still I do not think it should be illegalize as because this may cause other problems not only for the public but the government as well and could lead to crime. Though government should limit smoke to the point where the users can only smoke at home or clubs

While smoking in public is dangerous to those who inhale the contaminated air, we cannot ban it from all public places. Certain measures can and have been taken to limit the ability of smokers to pollute the air we take in. in new York state, for example, smoking is prohibited in establishments such as bars and restaurants. However there is more that we can do. We can institute programs which would further educate our youth on the dangers and consequences of smoking. We can raise taxes on cigarettes, making it less affordable and therefore less accessible to the public. Hopefully these actions will have an impact on the minds of children and those whose brains are not cloudy with the smoke of cigarettes never will be.

Cigarettes should become illegal since it is just as addictive and harmful as other illegal drugs. Second hand smoking kills as many people as those that do smoke. Illegal drugs like cocaine and heroin have virtually no effect on children, but cigarettes do. Many studies have been made that cigarettes are the main causes of a number of respiratory disease, heart disease, and multiple types of cancer. It should be made illegal like other drugs out there since it kills so many people every day.

I completely disagree with your idea of banning smoking. As a smoker, I feel that some people do enjoy smoking, and it should not be taken away from us. Smokers CHOOSE to smoke, and can quit anytime they want to. Alcohol is legal, and it is just as addictive as cigarettes, so if cigarettes are banned, so should alcohol. Smoking has already been banned in most public places, & if the government should do anything more to end smoking completely, they would lose a lot of money.

Cigarettes should not be illegal. I strongly agree that it’s a nasty habit that should be kept to yourself but I don’t believe it should be outlawed. It should not be permitted in public places but then again, define public place. If cigarettes are made illegal it will also just become an underground drug. Also, consider the money that the government looses if it makes cigarettes illegal. People should have the right to do whatever they want to themselves.
